Today, January 3, 2021, is the 151st anniversary of the start of construction on the Brooklyn Bridge, a now world-famous New York landmark, but the first fixed crossing over the east river, between Long Island and Manhattan.

It is the southernmost of four bridges that now connect the two islands, but if took thirteen years to open after construction began in 1870. It’s appeared in a lot of movies, and here’s a compilation of same from 2016.
